“We particularly need carers for children who are aged eight and above, as this age group are often overlooked. The role is rewarding, and even though there may be challenges, fostering can also be extremely enjoyable.” If you feel that you have the skills to help a child thrive and want to make a difference, or simply wish to get more information about what being a foster carer involves, contact the Council’s Fostering team on 0161 947 4646 or visit www.stockport.gov.uk/fostering Stockport Council holds regular monthly informal information evenings in Reddish on the first Tuesday of every month which start at 6pm. To book your place ring the Council’s Fostering team on 0161 947 4646.
