In a post modern world with less predictable family structures, more children and young people are being exposed to greater and more magnified external pressures. Emotional and mental health issues can have a detrimental effect on anyone, but more so for children and young people who are experiencing and developing their own identity. Emotional distress could leave them with feelings of powerlessness over their own lives a sense of isolation from family and friends, exclusion from school or even a wider social exclusion with in their own communities Working from a person-centred foundation, we help children and young people to develop a positive attitude to life, recognise their strengths and express themselves. This approach develops emotional and mental wellbeing, enabling the young person to make improved choices.
