Pride of Bromley Cross

THE youth of today still do understand the value of kindness and three young ladies from Bromley Cross proved just that! When Sophie Shawcross, Heather Johnson and Amy Duckworth found they had nothing to do one rainy afternoon they came up with a plan to raise money for charity. Bolton Hospice, the charity of their choice, had nursed Sophie’s Aunt who sadly lost her battle to breast cancer last year. The pals painstakingly handmade promotional leaflets and baked cakes which they sold around their local area. The trio raised £20, but they achieved much more than that, they raised a sense of pride and awareness within their local community.
